Today, the First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic met with Gholamhossein Yadgari, the Special Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kyrgyzstan and the head of the Cinematic and Audiovisual Arts Organization of the Islamic Republic. This meeting was held in the framework of the Iranian film week in Kyrgyzstan, which is held in the framework of the second Bishkek International Film Festival.
Pointing out that films play a very important role in understanding the culture and history of a country, the Kyrgyz official said that Iranian cinema is distinguished by its unique aesthetics, deep plots and capable directors. He added: holding Iranian cinema days and cultural exchange between the two countries attracts the attention of the public.
While discussing and exchanging opinions on joint cooperation in the field of culture and cinema in order to strengthen the friendship between the two countries, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding between the Filming Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Cinematic Organization of the Ministry of Culture and Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Bishkek residents are invited to a free screening of Iranian films.
The cultural representative office at the Iranian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan said that Iranian Film Week will be held as part of the second Bishkek International Film Festival.
The film festival will take place on June 11-15.
As part of the event, viewers will be shown 5 films by Iranian directors entitled "Without a prior agreement”, “Captain”, “My second year at the faculty”, “Dolphin Boy” and “Girl Squad”
