Second Session of Negarineh-Khat Calligraphy Course Highlights Script Authenticity
The second session of ‘Negarineh-Khat’ calligraphy course was held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, and participated by a group of artists and masters from Iran’s Calligraphers Association, at the Library of the ECO Cultural Institute
At the beginning of this session, Master Abbas Rahimi, the innovator of the ‘Negarineh-Khat’ calligraphy style, explained the importance of preserving the authenticity of the script in this style. He outlined the reasons, motivations, and objectives behind the invention of this method and emphasized the need for efforts towards the growth and elevation of this popular Iranian art form. He also painted a beautiful prospect of the diligent practice of the attendees in creating distinguished and creative works in the coming years.
 
The session continued with discussions on how the quality of the context and subject matter’s harmony, appropriate illustration, the perspective on the subject, the creative use of anti-light shapes and the use of patterns affect the completion process of the artworks.
It should be noted that the ‘Negarineh-Khat’ calligraphy course is conducted over eight sessions on Thursdays, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, at the ECI Library.
