Filming of "The Kura - the Mother of Rivers" Documentary began
This film aims to present the historical, cultural and economic impact of the river from the past to the present and to highlight its value to humanity.
The filming of "The Kura - the Mother of Rivers" Documentary is in process in the Republic of Azerbaijan,.
This project is supported by the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The film is directed by Seyran Mahmudoghlu, and written by Akbar Najaf. The producer is Fariz Ahmadov.
The film will be shot along the entire length of the Kura River, from its source to its mouth, covering the territories of Türkiye, Georgia and Azerbaijan. The film will demonstrate the geography of the Kura River, Azerbaijan's largest natural water source, as well as the surrounding cities and the socio-economic, historical and cultural developments in these regions.
The Kura River lays on southern part of the Caucasus Mountains. Kura Starts from northeastern of Türkiye, then flows to Georgia, then to Azerbaijan, and finally enters the Caspian Sea. The total length of the river is 1,515 kilometers.
