Dramatic Arts Center of Iran (DAC) is pleased to inform you that the 43rd Fadjr International Theatre Festival will take place from January 21st to February 2nd ,2025 in Tehran, Iran.
We highly appreciate if you could send the new production of your company. The application should reach by the deadline of the September 30th ,2024. The selection Committee will announce the invited international guest Performances through international affairs office of Dramatic Arts center.
Note: In this edition of the festival a 1000 US D prize for the best directing, as the Grand Prize, will be awarded by the festival director to honor the production of creative work in the International Section.
The festival will be held uncompetitive in international Section.
The axes of the festival will be:
A) New productions of theatre companies in both sections:
Stage Performances
Outdoor Performances (All genre of street theatre)
Note: The Festival will provide full accommodation, 3 meals per day, airport pick up services and local transportation for accepted groups. Other issues will be discussed and agreed by mutual negotiations.
B) Educational Section:
Holding Educational workshops by theatre experts:
- the proposal of workshop and the holder’s CV should be sent for festival and after assessment, the teacher will send the plan of his/her workshop in detail for arrangement in festival.
Note: The Festival will provide travel Expenses, full accommodation, 3 meals per day, airport pick up services and local transportation for accepted workshop proposals and high quality educational projects.
C) International Theatre festival’s directors & Influencer’s presence in Festival:
Participating in Festival as: company director, theatre curator, theatre marketing activists and theatre influencers by the aim of selecting Iranian performances for Foreign International Theatre Festivals and Foreign Theatre Companies under supervision of Dramatic Arts Center of Iran for cultural exchanges in drama field.
- The applicant should send his/her CV in the mentioned field to be assessed by festival.
Note: The Festival will provide full accommodation, 3 meals per day, airport pick up services and local transportation for accepted individual guests. Other issues will be discussed and agreed by mutual negotiations.
You are kindly requested to include the following in your submission:
1. Accessible link for watching the suggested play. It should be in full version and downloadable.
2. A synopsis of the play in English;
3. Application Form;(should be filled up completely) in attached file.
4. The number of troupe (included performers, technicians, and etc.
(The Maximum number of group members for covering accommodation is 10 people. More people can be negotiated).
5. 4 high quality photos of the performance, director, related and accessible link for finding them;
6. The Director and Playwright’s CVs and photos;
