On September 17, 2024, Dr. Saad S. Khan, President of ECI, attended and presented a speech at the closing ceremony of the "3rd National Radio Festival of Voice of Speech," which took place simultaneously with the Persian Language Day Ceremony and the Commemoration of Master Shahriar at Studio 8 of the Radio and Television Organization.
During this ceremony, Dr. Khan stated that the Persian language represents a common heritage and serves as a birth certificate for the cohesion and interaction of the people of the ECO region. He emphasized the need for cultural diplomacy by addressing language, literature, and art.
In the continuation of his speech, Dr. Khan mentioned Master Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi, known as Shahriar, as one of the great figures in contemporary literature and pointed out the important role of mass media, especially radio, in preserving the Persian language.
The ceremony was attended by directors, veterans, employees, as well as artists and cultural dignitaries of the Radio Organization. Mr. Ali Bakhshizadeh, Deputy Head of the Radio and Television Organization, stated, "We, the companions of sound, are proud to be the guardians of sound." He also added, "Ferdowsi is the greatest epic poet of Iran and the world, and today's celebration is a celebration of Persian speech."
Continuing the program, Mr. Seyed Morteza Kazemi Dinan, Director of the Farhang Radio Network and Head of the Policy Council of the Festival, pointed out that the Radio and Television Organization, as the most inclusive media, has a special interest in protecting and preserving the Persian language. He mentioned that this festival intends to follow up on a series of initiatives in the field of the Persian language.
Other speakers at the event included Professor Hassan Anvari, a permanent member of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature; Vahid Mobasheri, the festival's secretary; Dariush Maudebian, author, translator, and actor in cinema and television; and Mohsen Sharifzadeh, a member of the festival jury.
During this ceremony, certificates of appreciation and prizes were presented to the winners of the 3rd National Radio Festival. Additionally, Mr. Seyed Ali Mousavi Garmaroudi, the late Professor Mohammad Ali Bahmani, Mr. Manoucher Sohbai, Mr. Reza Mahdavi, Mr. Sadegh Cheraghi, and Mr. Toraj Zahedi were honored.
It should be noted that Mr. Mehdi Farajallahi, Mr. Behrouze Razavi, and Mr. Sadegh Cheraghi enriched this ceremony with pleasant and traditional music.
