Mr. Noshad Rokni, the head of Malek National Library, met and talked with Dr. Mehrdad Rakhshandeh, the Acting President of the ECO Cultural Institute on September 15, 2025, at the Institute,s office. According to the ECO Cultural Institute's news website, during this meeting, Dr. Rakhshandeh introduced the activities of the ECO Cultural Institute's Diplomatic Library. He emphasized the important role of libraries in the cultural progress of various societies, calling them a key arm of cultural diplomacy and a gateway to the culture and civilization of societies.
He also highlighted the potential of book-centered cooperation for cultural collaborations and expressed hope that holding a joint ceremony during Book and Reading Week would be a starting point for developing cultural ties between the two institutions.
Mr. Noshad Rokni expressed his appteciation for the cordial meeting and stated that the Malek National Library is ready to expand interactions with ECI
and use common capacities in the field of written heritage. He also expressed his interest in any kind of cooperation with the ECO Cultural Institute.
Introducing missions, goals, and strategies; presenting joint projects and programs; and expanding cultural and artistic collaborations were among the topics of discussion between the two parties during the meeting.
