A group exhibition of Gohar Asl , s Paintings was held at the ECO Cultural Institute to honor the artistic personality of Dr. Mahmoud Farshchian.
This exhibition was held with the aim of honoring the incomparable master of Iranian painting, the late Mahmoud Farshchian, on the evening of Thursday, September 13, 2025, in the presence of a group of people from the arts and culture, researchers, and diplomats from ECO member countries at the amphitheater of The ECI. Dr. Mehrdad Rakhshandeh, Executive Director and Acting President of the ECI , while honoring the memory of Master Mahmoud Farshchian, the legend of Iranian painting, stated at the beginning of this conference: “ We all love and respect artists, and certainly the artists of our beloved country are indebted to the efforts of great people like Master Mahmoud Farshchian.
He continued: “The ECI is an Institute that works to strengthen and develop the common heritage of the ECO member countries. It is an achievement for us to be able to carry out our duties to spread the culture and art of the ECO member countries. Of course, as a country, we also have the opportunity to have special programs for each country, but we are more interested in having programs that have a cultural connection to the ECO member countries so that we can preserve this very valuable and precious common heritage.”
At the end of the ceremony, Professor Mohammad Moradi also called Aftab the sun of Iranian art a heretical painter and remembered him as a compassionate teacher and a kind father, and honored his memory.
