Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad-Mehdi Imanipour, Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, described the year as “unprecedented in the history of cultural relations between Iran and Turkey,” proposing that official programs begin in February, coinciding with Iran’s National Day.
One of the first events of this cultural year was the commemoration of Hafez Shirazi, held at the Ankara State Symphony Orchestra Hall. The program featured musical performances, literary discussions, and participation by Iran’s National Orchestra.
During his visit, the Iranian Minister also met with cultural figures, Iranologists, and Persian language scholars in Turkey, laying the groundwork for expanded academic and cultural cooperation.
