The ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), in line with its mission to strengthen regional cultural ties, will unveil the book "Raqā’im-e Iqbal be Atiya Begum" (The Letters of Iqbal to Atiya Begum) during the seminar "Book Diplomacy with the Spirit of Iqbal.
The ceremony will be held concurrently with the 33rd Book Week and Book Reading of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the 148th birth anniversary of the philosopher and poet, Allama Muhammad Iqbal Lahori.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 15:00, at the International Conference Hall of the ECO Cultural Institute.
The book "Raqā’im-e Iqbal be Atiya Begum" comprises a collection of enlightening and emotional letters written by Allama Muhammad Iqbal Lahori to Atiya Begum Faizi in September 1907. These letters reflect new dimensions of the great thinker's personality, profound ideas, and aspirations. The work was translated into Persian by Dr. Mozaffar Ali Kashmiri and was published in 2024 (1403) by the ECO Cultural Institute Press.
The official unveiling of this collection of correspondence is a manifestation of ECI's collective commitment to reviving the shared written heritage and ensuring easier access for today's generations to a treasury of thought that connects our deep roots for strengthening regional identity and cohesion
