The 15th Diplomatic Charity Bazaar was inaugurated with the active participation of ECO member states and the ECO Cultural Institute delegation.
On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the 15th Diplomatic Charity Bazaar opened at the Institute for Political and International Studies of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended by the spouse of the Foreign Minister, a group of diplomatic spouses, and representatives of foreign embassies. The event was organized by the Diplomatic Ladies Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the broad participation of embassies based in Tehran.
In addition to domestic officials, the opening ceremony was attended by ambassadors’ spouses and political and diplomatic representatives from various countries. As in previous years, the bazaar offered handicrafts, clothing, jewelry, local delicacies, and cultural products, creating a vibrant space to showcase diverse traditions and cultures. The proceeds, in line with tradition, will be dedicated to charitable causes and humanitarian support.
🔹 Prominent Role of ECO Member States ECO member countries had a remarkable presence at this year’s bazaar. The booths of Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan attracted many visitors with their handicrafts, cultural products, and local foods, presenting a vivid display of the cultural diversity of the ECO region.
🔹 Participation of the ECO Cultural Institute A delegation from the ECO Cultural Institute also attended the event, visiting the booths of ECO member states and other embassies. Ms. Zahra Aslani and Ms. Maryam Shayegan represented the Institute, engaging in discussions with cultural representatives of various countries and emphasizing the importance of cultural cooperation and strengthening regional ties.
This active participation once again highlighted the role of the ECO Cultural Institute in supporting cultural and humanitarian initiatives and in promoting the cultural capacities of its member states. The 2025 Diplomatic Charity Bazaar was not only an opportunity to contribute to charitable causes but also a platform to demonstrate cultural solidarity and diplomatic friendship between ECO member countries and the international community.
