Ambassador Muhammad Hassan of Pakistan has officially assumed office as the new President of the ECO Cultural Institute.
According to the Public Relations Department of the ECO Cultural and Institute (ECI), Ambassador Muhammad Hassan is a senior career Pakistan diplomat of with over three decades of experience in foreign policy, international cooperation, and regional diplomacy. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held several key positions, including Ambassador of Pakistan to Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and ASEAN; Ambassador to Tunisia; and High Commissioner to Malta.
He has also served in prominent diplomatic roles such as Deputy Head of Mission in Beijing, Minister (Political) in Washington D.C., Political Counsellor at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, Deputy Chief of Mission in Beijing, Counsellor in Abu Dhabi, and First Secretary at Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. In addition, he served as Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, and Joint Secretary (Foreign Affairs) at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Islamabad.
He is proficient in English, Urdu, and Persian.
The ECO Cultural Institute warmly welcomes Ambassador Muhammad Hassan and is confident that his leadership will further enhance cultural, artistic, and academic cooperation among the ECO Member States.
