The Radiance of a Fasa Lady at Uzbekistan’s International Festival

The Radiance of a Fasa Lady at Uzbekistan’s International Festival
In an event that turned Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, into a global culinary spotlight, the talented Iranian chef Tahereh Majidi, director of the eco-lodge Saraye Bahar Banoo, captivated international judges with two authentic Iranian dishes—Ghalieh Mahi (a traditional fish stew) and Ranginak (a date-based dessert). Her artistry earned her third place at the prestigious “Delicious Uzbekistan 2025” festival.
Held from November 27 to 29, 2025 at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan (CAEx), the festival coincided with the 30th International Tourism Exhibition “Tourism on the Silk Road”, welcoming chefs and culinary artists from more than 30 countries worldwide.
Supported by the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and organized in collaboration with the Uzbek Chefs Association, Delicious Uzbekistan is recognized as one of the region’s most respected culinary events. The festival featured diverse categories ranging from traditional and modern cuisine to bakery, desserts, vegetarian dishes, and innovative gastronomy.
The success of Ms. Majidi once again demonstrates that Iranian cuisine, with its authenticity and remarkable diversity, holds the power to compete globally. Beyond taste, it serves as a cultural ambassador, strengthening Iran’s position in the field of culinary tourism.
