The 7th edition of Afghanistan’s Premier Buzkashi League concluded today (Monday, 1 Jadi) with Sar-e Pol province claiming the championship title. In the final match, Sar-e Pol defeated Badakhshan with a decisive 7–0 victory.
Badakhshan secured second place, while Baghlan finished third after overcoming Kunduz. The final matches were held at the Yaka-Tut Sports Field in Kabul.
The tournament featured 11 teams and welcomed riders from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, highlighting the shared cultural and sporting heritage of the ECO region. As one of the oldest traditional sports of Central Asia, Buzkashi remains a powerful symbol of regional identity and cultural continuity.
