Islamabad, 1 February 2026 — With the beginning of February, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has officially commenced its executive activities as the rotating President of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for the year 2026.
Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that during this presidency, Pakistan will prioritize the ECO Vision 2035, with a particular focus on expanding cultural and tourism corridors among member states, including the strategic initiative of “regional connectivity through art and literature.”
