Ambassador Mohammad Hassan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), met and held talks with Dr. Gholamali Haddad-Adel, President of the Saadi Foundation.
During the meeting, Dr. Haddad-Adel emphasized that culture knows no borders, stating that in the ECO region, culture serves as the primary unifying force capable of connecting member states and fostering cohesion among them. He noted that Iran has historically played a significant and influential role in shaping and promoting cultural capitals across the region.
Referring to the activities of the Saadi Foundation, the President of the Foundation underlined the importance of expanding Persian language education and strengthening mutual cultural cooperation between the Saadi Foundation and the ECO Cultural Institute.
Ambassador Mohammad Hassan, for his part, highlighted the wide popularity of Saadi’s poetry in Pakistan, describing great poets as universal teachers whose messages transcend borders. He stressed that the ECO Cultural Institute seeks to use this shared cultural heritage as a driving force for regional convergence and cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of the ECO Cultural Institute welcomed the Saadi Foundation’s proposal to provide Persian language training for diplomats and their families, and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing cultural collaboration between the two institutions.
