The filming of the joint Tajik-Uzbek film about Maulana Abdurahman Jami and Ali Sher Navai has ended.
. The Tajik director of the film "Dorakhsh-e Akhtaran: Jami and Navai" Faizullah Faiz announced this news.
According to him, on February 5, the last scenes were filmed in Tashkent and the filming of the film was completely completed. Filming of this work began on August 1, 2025 in Dushanbe. Faizullah Faiz says that it took 6 years to prepare, write the script, sew historical costumes, select actors and generally create the atmosphere of the 15th century. He emphasizes: "This was just the end of filming, not the end of the work... Editing is still ongoing." In early December last year, Faizullah Faiz told «Asia-Plus »that editing work had already begun and that the private Tashkent Video Production studio in Uzbekistan was responsible for it.
It is expected that the film "Dorakhsh-e Akhtaran" will be released to the public in time for the Nowruz celebration in 2026.
