International Symposium Held in Tajikistan on the Occasion of Publishing Ayni’s Book
At the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, an international scientific symposium was held to mark the 100th anniversary of the writing and publication of the outstanding work «Намунаи адабиёти тоҷик» (“Sample of Tajik Literature”) by Sadriddin Ayni, the founder of modern Tajik literature.
The symposium, titled “Sample of Tajik Literature – A Historical and Cultural Phenomenon in the Civilization of the Peoples of Central Asia,” highlighted the scholarly and cultural significance of this work.
Ms. Delraba Mansouri, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, stated in her speech that this work is not only a collection of literary texts but also an important source for studying the history of literature, language, and culture of the peoples of Central Asia. She added that the book was written under complex historical circumstances and has played a significant role in reviving national self-awareness and presenting the literary heritage of the Tajik people at the international level.
It was also emphasized that this work, as a valuable national heritage and a major scholarly and cultural achievement, has played a key role in the formation and development of modern Tajik literature, and that its comprehensive study and research remain highly relevant in contemporary conditions.
Participants in the symposium also focused on issues such as expanding research on ancestral literary heritage, strengthening academic cooperation, and promoting Tajik cultural values internationally.
