On April 27, at the National Library of Belarus, an exhibition of Tajik artists titled “The Beauty of Tajikistan: Heritage for the Future” was officially opened as part of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Belarus. The press center of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan reported this.
A total of 38 artworks (paintings) are on display at the exhibition. Their themes include abstraction, national patterns and ornaments, vibrant colors, as well as examples of contemporary Tajik art.
On the sidelines of the event, the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan, Matlubakhon Sattoriyon, held a meeting with the Minister of Culture of Belarus, Marat Markov.
The two sides described the organization of the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Belarus as a result of the far-sighted policies of the leaders of both countries, noting that this initiative provides a favorable basis for further expansion of bilateral cooperation.
The Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan in Belarus are held with the aim of strengthening cultural ties between the two countries. Diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Belarus were established on September 5, 1996. In 1997, the Embassy of Tajikistan was opened in Belarus, and in 2011, the Embassy of Belarus began its work in Dushanbe.
Cultural cooperation between the two countries continues to develop steadily. In this regard, the Days of Culture of Belarus in Tajikistan were held in 2007, 2015, 2018, and 2024, while the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Belarus took place in 2008, 2016, and 2021.
It is worth noting that the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan in Belarus began on April 24 and will continue until May 1.
