Dushanbe, May 4, 2026 — An international scientific and practical conference titled “Key Issues of Eastern Philology in Linguistic and Literary Relations in the Context of Globalization” was held at the Tajikistan International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda.
According to the university, participants highlighted the achievements of the period of state independence and the contribution of Emomali Rahmon to the development of science and education, the expansion of language learning, and the importance of studying modern sciences. They also discussed the role of Tajik and Persian thinkers in the advancement of global knowledge.
It was emphasized that an in-depth study of the languages and literatures of Eastern nations can contribute significantly to strengthening intercultural dialogue and enriching global scholarship.
It was also noted that, within a short period, numerous academic works on pressing issues of Oriental studies have been published, with a notable contribution from scholars and researchers of this university.
Conference participants stressed the importance of preserving and promoting the nation’s literary and cultural heritage, describing it as one of the key responsibilities of researchers. They stated that studying and presenting the works of Tajik and Persian classical authors at the international level can help enhance the status of national culture and strengthen national identity.
