Dushanbe, /Khovar News Agency/. From April 30 to May 2, 2026, in the city of Bishkek, tourism companies of the Tajikistan participated in the international exhibition Bishkek International Tourism Fair 2026 (BITF 2026), where they presented the country’s national pavilion. This was reported to Khovar by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Kyrgyzstan.
At the exhibition, Tajikistan was represented by leading companies in the tourism sector. During the event, the country’s tourism potential, rich historical and cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and a wide range of tourism products were showcased.
Throughout the exhibition, discussions focused on promoting tourism destinations in international markets, attracting investment, developing transport and tourism infrastructure, introducing digital technologies, and expanding international cooperation. Special attention was given to the development of eco-tourism and mountain tourism, the creation of new routes, and improving the quality of tourism services.
As part of the event, Tajik tourism companies held several bilateral meetings with foreign partners, discussing prospects for partnerships and expanding cooperation.
As a result of the exhibition, 11 cooperation agreements were signed between tourism companies of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Tajikistan’s participation in BITF 2026 contributed to further promoting the country’s tourism potential on the international stage, strengthening business ties, and exploring new markets, once again confirming the exhibition’s importance as an effective platform in the tourism sector.
