On May 18, within the framework of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Kyrgyz Republic, the opening ceremony of the Days of Tajik Cinema was held in the city of Bishkek.
The event was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of state institutions, the diplomatic corps, cultural and artistic figures, members of the cinema community, creative and academic intellectuals from both countries, as well as movie enthusiasts and audiences.
During the ceremony, the culture ministers of the two countries emphasized that the Days of Tajik Cinema represent an important component of the cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, contributing to the further strengthening of friendship, good-neighborly relations, and mutual understanding between the two brotherly nations.
It was also noted that cinema plays a special role in promoting intercultural dialogue, preserving moral and spiritual values, and presenting the rich historical and cultural heritage of the peoples of Central Asia. Joint cultural initiatives were described as an important means of expanding humanitarian ties between the two countries.
As part of the cinema days, screenings of Tajik feature films are scheduled at the Ala-Too Cinema cinema. The program includes:
