By decree of Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan, the International Abu Ali ibn Sina Prize in the field of medicine has been established.
According to the decree, the prize was created “to honor the contribution of the renowned scholar Abu Ali ibn Sina to healthcare and the development of medical science worldwide.”
The decree states that the award will be presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the international healthcare system and the advancement of global medical science.
The President of Tajikistan also instructed that a special fund for the prize be established, and directed the government to draft and approve the relevant statutes and regulations governing the award.
