As H.E. Prof. Dr. Hicabi KIRLANGIC, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Islamic Republic of Iran, approaches the conclusion of his diplomatic mission, he paid a farewell visit to H.E. Dr. Mohammad Hassan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), to discuss the further expansion of cultural cooperation, cultural diplomacy, and joint cultural and academic initiatives between the ECO Cultural Institute and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tehran.
Tehran, 8 July 2026 – H.E. Prof. Dr. Hicabi KIRLANGIC, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Tehran, met with H.E. Dr. Mohammad Hassan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), as he approaches the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The meeting focused on the continuation and further strengthening of cultural cooperation between the ECO Cultural Institute and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tehran.
The meeting was attended by Mrs. Ece Topaloğlu Soğangöz, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tehran, and Dr. Ahmet Akalın of the ECO Cultural Institute. The two sides reviewed their ongoing cooperation and exchanged views on opportunities to expand collaboration through joint cultural diplomacy initiatives, as well as cultural and academic programmes to be implemented under the auspices of the ECO Cultural Institute. They also underscored the importance of further strengthening institutional cooperation through future collaborative projects.
Dr. Mohammad Hassan expressed his appreciation for Ambassador KIRLANGIC's valuable cooperation and support throughout his tenure and commended his constructive role in strengthening cultural relations between the ECO Cultural Institute and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tehran. He also wished the Ambassador continued success in his future assignments.
Ambassador KIRLANGIC, in turn, expressed his appreciation for the cooperation extended by the ECO Cultural Institute and reaffirmed the importance of sustaining cultural dialogue and advancing cultural cooperation among the ECO Member States through the Institute's activities
