The ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) has announced the call for entries for the first ECO International Mobile Photography Festival, "Our Heritage." Centered on the theme "Passing on Heritage," the festival invites citizens of ECO Member States to submit mobile photographs capturing the transmission of traditional knowledge, skills, customs, and cultural practices from one generation to the next. Submissions will be accepted from 12 July to 12 September 2026.
The ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) has announced the launch of the ECO International Mobile Photography Festival, titled "Our Heritage." Centered on the theme "Passing on Heritage," the festival invites participants to capture moments in which traditional knowledge, skills, and cultural practices are passed from one generation to the next—from teaching traditional handicrafts and folk music to preserving rituals, customs, and oral traditions.
The festival is open to citizens of all ECO Member States—Afghanistan, The Republic of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Participants may submit photographs taken exclusively with a mobile phone camera between 12 July and 12 September 2026 through the ECI website or by email at festival@ecieco.org.
Winners will be selected in three main prize categories, in addition to a Special Certificate of Recognition awarded to the highest-ranked entry from each ECO Member State.
The festival's closing ceremony and an exhibition of the selected works will be held on 4 October 2026.
