Islamabad – 22 July 2026 – The President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) participated in the 6th Meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), held in a hybrid format in Islamabad with the participation of senior officials, distinguished scientists, and representatives of the ECO Member States.
The meeting focused on strengthening regional cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and innovation (STI) and enhancing the collective capacity of ECO Member States to implement scientific and technological initiatives addressing common regional priorities. Prior to the Board of Trustees meeting, the 8th Meeting of the ECOSF Executive Committee was convened to finalize the agenda and prepare recommendations for the Board’s consideration.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the implementation of previous decisions, evaluated the progress of ongoing programmes and projects, discussed administrative and financial matters, and approved the ECOSF Work Plan for the coming year.
The participation of the President of the ECO Cultural Institute reflected the Institute’s continued commitment to strengthening cooperation with specialized ECO institutions and promoting greater synergy between culture, science, and innovation as complementary pillars of sustainable development and regional integration.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to expanding cooperation among ECO specialized institutions and maximizing their collective capacities in support of the Organization’s scientific, cultural, and developmental objectives.
