Tehran, 6 August 2026 – H.E. Dr. Mohammad Hassan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), received H.E. Mr. Akylbek Kylychev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran, at the Institute’s headquarters in Tehran to discuss issues of mutual interest and avenues for strengthening cultural cooperation within the framework of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
H.E. Dr. Mohammad Hassan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), welcomed H.E. Mr. Akylbek Kylychev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran, during a meeting held at the Institute’s headquarters in Tehran on 6 August 2026.
The meeting took place within the framework of the ECO Cultural Institute’s continued efforts to enhance cultural relations among the ECO member states and to promote regional cooperation through cultural diplomacy.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and highlighted the importance of strengthening cultural cooperation, promoting intercultural dialogue, and expanding opportunities for collaborative cultural initiatives among ECO member states.
H.E. Dr. Mohammad Hassan emphasized the ECO Cultural Institute’s commitment to fostering closer cultural ties among the member countries through diverse cultural, artistic, academic, and heritage-related programs. H.E. Mr. Akylbek Kylychev expressed his appreciation for the Institute’s valuable role in promoting the rich cultural heritage of the ECO region and reaffirmed the Kyrgyz Republic’s readiness to further expand cooperation with the Institute.
