Tehran – September 1, 2026: The ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) will host the next session of its “Cultural Meetings Series: Introducing ECO Member Countries,” dedicated to the Republic of Türkiye and its rich cultural, historical, and literary heritage.
The programme will open with remarks by H.E. Amb. Muhammad Hassan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), who will welcome participants and highlight the importance of cultural dialogue and cooperation among the ECO member states.
The session will also feature H.E. Ambassador Prof. Dr. Hikabi KIRLANGIÇ, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside distinguished scholars, diplomats, and cultural experts.
The panel of speakers includes Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeki ERASLAN, Head of the Presidency of Atatürk Culture Center, Türkiye; Dr. Gökhan ÇETİNKAYA, Counsellor for Cultural and Information Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tehran; Prof. Dr. Adnan KARAİSMAİLOĞLU, Professor of Persian Language and Literature; Prof. Dr. Güler DOĞAN AVERBEK of Marmara University; and Mr. Anvar YUSUPOV, an independent researcher and writer from Uzbekistan.
The meeting aims to provide a platform for diplomats, academics, researchers, and cultural figures to discuss different dimensions of Türkiye’s cultural heritage and its historical and contemporary connections with the wider ECO region.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the ECO Cultural Institute Headquarters, No. 10, Baqer Al-Nemr St., Danish Ave., Aqdasia, Tehran.
