The ECO Cultural Institute will hold the third session of its series of meetings on introducing ECO member states centered on the "Republic of Uzbekistan", along with the unveiling ceremony of the book "Ascension of Water" (Meraj-e Ab).
According to the information portal of the ECO Cultural Institute, this session will feature opening speeches by Mr. Mohamad Hassan, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, and Mr. Fariddin Nasriyev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Following the opening program, scholars and experts in the field of culture, Dr. Mahmoud Jafari Dehaghi, President of the Scientific Association of Iranian Studies (Iranology); Prof. Dr. Kamiljan Rakhimov, Director of the Abu Rayhan Beruni Institute of Oriental Studies at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Professor at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies; Dr. Seyed Javad Jalali Kiasari, Cultural Expert at the Department of Iranian Studies and Persian Language of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization; and Prof. Dr. Jafar Mohammad Termezi, Professor in the Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences at the International University of Finance, Technology, and Science (ISFT) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, will present their scientific and research perspectives.
The objective of this specialized session is to explore the historical, literary, and artistic diversity of Uzbekistan, elucidate its ancient civilizational ties with the region, and create a platform for dialogue and synergy among diplomats, university professors, and cultural researchers.
It is worth noting that during this program, the valuable book "Ascension of Water" will be officially unveiled. This work is a collection of ghazals, Nimaic, free, and blank poetry by Dr. Termezi, the Uzbek poet and writer, published in 212 pages in octavo format.
This session will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 (1 Mehr 1405), from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the ECO Cultural Institute.
