TEHRAN – Ontalap Onalbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, accompanied by his wife, attended the screening of the Kazakh film The Dawn of the Great Steppe at the ECO Cultural Institute as part of the ECO Film Week.
According to the Public Relations Department of the ECO Cultural Institute, the Ambassador and his wife joined audiences and guests to watch the film representing Kazakhstan at the cultural event.
The screening provided an opportunity for the Ambassador and his wife to attend a cultural program featuring Kazakhstan’s cinema and to experience the film alongside audiences from Iran and other participating countries.
The ECO Film Week is being held by the ECO Cultural Institute with the participation of selected films from ECO member states. The event aims to introduce the cultural and cinematic diversity of the region and to provide opportunities for greater cultural interaction among the member countries.
Films from Iran, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Kazakhstan are being featured during the event, offering audiences an opportunity to become familiar with different cinematic perspectives and cultural narratives from across the ECO region.
The event also features an exhibition of selected film posters from ECO member states, highlighting aspects of the region’s cinematic heritage and artistic diversity.
The ECO Film Week is part of the ECO Cultural Institute’s cultural programs aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation and fostering dialogue and interaction among artists, cultural figures and audiences across the ECO region.
