ECO Cultural Institute Publishes Poetry Collection by Uzbek Poet Zebo Omonova
The ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) has published “…MEN! She’rlar”, a poetry collection by Uzbek poet Zebo Omonova, featuring a foreword by Dr Mohammad Hassan, President of the Institute.
Rooted in the literary and cultural traditions of Uzbekistan, particularly the historic region of Kashkadarya, the collection explores themes of self-discovery, identity and the search for meaning in existence. Its poems bring personal experiences into dialogue with universal human themes, including love, hope, sorrow, longing and belonging.
In his foreword, Dr Mohammad Hassan describes poetry as a universal language that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries, connecting people through shared emotions and experiences. He also emphasises the importance of supporting the work of women poets and artists and bringing their literary contributions to wider audiences as part of broader efforts to strengthen cultural interaction and mutual understanding across the region.
The publication forms part of the ECI’s ongoing efforts to promote the literary contributions of its member states and support creative expression across the region. It reflects the Institute’s commitment to fostering intercultural dialogue and strengthening cultural ties among peoples through literature.
