Tribute to Seyed Ali Hamedani at Meeting with North America Muslim Community Representative
Saeed Muhammed Saeed, the representative of the Muslim Community in North America, visited ECO Cultural Institute and met with the staff on Wednesday May 28, 2014.

At the meeting, he explained the activities of Seyed Ali Hamedani, a great preacher of Islam in The subcontinent, particularly in Kashmir and the important role he played in spreading Islam in the region.

Referring to the special character of Hamedani, he said:" his words were so impressive that facsinated a large number of the inhabitants and altered their destiny."

Mir Syed Ali bin Shahab-ud-Din Hamadani (1384-1314) was a Persian poet and a prominent Muslim scholar. He was born on Monday, 12th Rajab 714 AH (1314 A.C) in Hamadan and was buried in Khatlan, Tajikistan. He was very influential in spreading Islam in Kashmir. More than 110 books are attributed to him.He was also known as "Shāh Hamadhān" ("King of Hamadhān", Iran) and as Amīr-i Kabīr ("the Great Commander").
