Painting Exhibition by Young Afghan Artist Held at ECI
The opening ceremony of a painting exhibition by Ms. Najiyeh Adelzadeh, young Afghan artist was held on 16 February 2016 at ECI and attended by Iftikhar Husain Arif, President and Mohammad Reza Haji Karim Jabbari, Executive Director of ECO Cultural Institute, Mohammad Afsar Rahbin, Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Iran, Ambassadors of Kyrgyz Republic and Republic of Uzbekistan and a number of enthusiasts.

Admiring the paintings created by the young artist, Iftikhar Husain Arif, President of, said: " the colors, concepts and ideas used in her works demonstrate her ability. I hope she will continue to commit to her creative works in the future."

"she has developed her creative talent in friendly environment of the Islamic Republic of Iran, its great influence is reflected in her paintings" he added.

Speaking on art of painting, Mohammad Afsar Rahbin, Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Iran, said:" I believe that painting is a kind of poetry in which colors are the alphabet letters. As I saw paintings of the artist for the first time, although those were in black and white, I realized that a gifted artist should have created them. "  

He pointed to the role of artists in society and said: "An artist should reflect what occurs in his community. In other words, art reflects reality."

He extended his gratitude to the ECO Cultural Institute for regular cooperation of the Institute in organizing various cultural events for Afghanistan.

Later at the event, Najiyeh Adelzadeh, the Afghan artist said: "I'm from a country which I love it so much.  All my paintings are derived from my thoughts. I hope to hold such exhibition in my country someday."
