Seminar on "Common History and Culture in ECO Region " is planned to be held on May 2016, aiming at recognizing and preserving historical and cultural commonalities to strengthen cooperation and interaction among scholars in the field of culture and civilization in ECO region.
The event will be jointly organized by the ECO Cultural Institute and the Center for International Research and Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and to this end, a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the sides.
The seminar will cover such topics as potentials in common culture and civilization, regional cultural identity and globalization, regional, cultural challenges in ECO region, fields and opportunities for cooperation within ECO region, common culture and extremism, the Islamic Republic of Iran and regional cultural relations.
