ECO Executive Council met its 5th session with the presence of representatives from ECO Members States.
The 5th session of ECO Executive Council was held at the conference hall of the ECI's specialized library.
The meeting was attended by the Cultural Attachés from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, and the Senior Advisor of the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia, along with a delegation from ECO Cultural Institute.
The meeting focused on scientific and research collaboration between universities and libraries, holding a meeting of the heads of universities, organizing the ECO cultural week as well as organizing a meeting of the directors of ECO Encyclopedia Centers.
During the meeting, Dr. Kianush Kiani, the Senior Advisor of the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia, proposed to organize a meeting of the heads of ECO Encyclopedia Centers and announced the readiness of the Center to host the first session in Tehran.
Holding a meeting of the heads of universities in ECO member states was another proposal met with the Council approval.
This is the first time that ECI Executive Council is held with the presence of representatives from eight member states.
ECO Cultural Institute is an international agency founded with the aim to strengthen cultural, artistic, research and literary collaboration among ECO member countries.
