Ambassador of Mexico to Tehran, in his visit to ECI Headquarters, met with ECI president.
According to ECI news, Ambassador of Mexico to Tehran Jose Alfonso Zegbe Camarena, in his meeting with ECI president, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, announced readiness to cooperate with the Institute.
In the meeting, Zegbe highlighted the commonalities exist between Mexico and some countries in ECO region and called for constructive interactions between Mexico and ECO countries.
Organizing events such as ECO Cultural Week, Mexican Film Week, and scientific and research conferences, holding exhibitions with the theme of Society and Women, launching a specialized research center on the Middle East, the implementation of joint programs for youth with the cooperation of the young people from Mexico and ECO region, establishing inter-university interactions, tourism, and participation in visual art exhibitions were among the key points discussed at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the Mexican ambassador visited different parts of the institute and appreciated the efforts made to provide such facilities at the ECI headquarters.
Besides Iran, Jose Alfonso Zegbe is also accredited to Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
ECO Cultural Institute is an international agency founded with the aim to strengthen cultural, artistic, research and literary collaboration among the countries in the ECO region and beyond.
