Saryarka to Perform Kazakh Folk Music in Tehran
A folk music ensemble from Kazakhstan, Saryarka, is scheduled for the first time to perform at the Niavaran Artistic Creations Foundation in Tehran on Thursday, 21 December 2017.

Under the auspices of Iran's Institute for Promotion of Contemporary Visual Art in cooperation with ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) and Niavaran Artistic Creation Foundation the Kazakh folk music band will stage pieces of Kazakhstan folk music. The program is held under the cooperation MoU signed between the two countries of Iran and Kazakhstan. Saryarka was established in 1998 by its art director Yerzhan Toksabanov to preserve the national music of Kazakhstan, reported by ECI.

The ensemble consists instruments such as Kobyz (Kazakh fiddle), Sybyzgy (Ney), Shankobyz (Harmonica), Zhetigen (Qanun), Dombra (Kazakh dutar), Adyrna, Sherter, Dabyl (Drum), and Dauylpaz, Asatayak (new fiddle).

Saryarka has staged its most remarkable international performances in Russia, Turkmenistan, Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands and France.

The concert is slated for December 21st at 6:00 pm in the main hall of the Niavaran Artistic Creations Foundation.
