ECI President, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri expressed deep sorrow for the death of crew members of Sanchi oil tanker.
The message reads:
"The loss of brave Iranian sailors in waters and flames caused great sorrow and pain.
They were the courageous crew who lost their lives during the heartbreaking incident in a mission and immersed in the waters away from their homeland and left sad bitterness of their loss in the agonizing hearts of their surviving kin.
They are great heroes we are proud of and they will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
"On behalf of ECO member states I wish to express my sincerest condolences on the tragic calamity and would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to all the bereaved families.
