ECI president, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri met with, Dr. Ali Larijani on Sunday May 27, 2018 in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (ICA).
According to ECI news, on the sidelines of ECO Fraction meeting, Speaker of the Parliament of Iran met with Dr. Mazaheri and expressed thanks for the interest and efforts made by him and announced his support to the implementation of ECI activities.
Dr. Larijani also emphasized the importance of regional arrangements in the new era of globalization on the revival of ECO as one of the most radical regional treaties.
Dr. Mazaheri, in his remarks, while underlining the unique capacities of cultural and public diplomacy in the framework of the charter of ECO Cultural Institute, expressed his gratitude to ICA for the establishment of ECO Fraction.
ECI president further announced the readiness of the international Institute to expand parliamentary cooperation among ECO member states.
At the meeting of the ECO Faction held in ICA, Dr. Alizadeh, the chairman of the fraction and a number of members, exchanged views and appreciated the presence of Dr. Mazaheri in ICA and regard it as a major step forward in pursuing shared objectives.
