ECI to Cooperate with ACECR
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in a meeting between Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri ECI president and Dr. Tayebi president of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR) on Monday June 9, 2018.

According to ECI news, at the meeting Dr. Mazaheri while indicating the comprehensive capacity of ECI Charter to carry out extensive activities on implementing public and science diplomacy stated that: "Unfortunately, such remarkable capacity has been neglected in the past years."

He further added: "The economy of art, the economy of culture and the IT economy are among the capacities that can be exploited by expanding the scope of cultural activities in ECO countries." President of ECO Cultural Institute, also alluded to the formation of the ECO Fraction in Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly with the honorary membership of Dr. Ali Larijani and said: "The formation of a parliament for ECO member states and the increase in elites visas to facilitate travelling to the countries in the region are among the programs to be carried out with the cooperation of the Institute in the Islamic Consultative Assembly."

Dr. Mazaheri expressed hope that under the agreement made with ACECR a suitable platform would be provided to establish extensive cooperation between the two sides to benefit from the capacities of public diplomacy.

Referring to the plans of ACECR to use ECO capacities, Dr. Tayebi also welcomed the views of ECI president saying: "student tourism is one of the most important issues on our agenda in promoting cultural commonalities in the region."

The ACECR president announced the readiness of all departments related to culture and science issues to cooperate with ECI and expressed hope that the MoU signing would lead to significant changes in the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
