On Sunday August 12, 2018, H.E. Mr. Hassan Abbas, the Lebanese Ambassador to Iran, met with Dr. Mohammad Mazaheri, the ECI President, at the ECI headquarters.
According to ECI Public Relations, at the meeting, Dr. Mazaheri elaborated upon the aims and objectives as well as the plans and programs of this international organization, stating: "With the cooperation of the Lebanese embassy in Tehran, joint programs could be organized on the occasion of national and cultural events of this historical country of the Middle East. Moreover, a commemoration ceremony may be organized at ECI to honor Amin Malouf, the renowned Lebanese literary figure and author."
Furthermore, the ECI president highlighted ECI's programs in the area of tourism and said: "Holding Lebanese Food Festival along with a photo exhibition of Lebanon's historical and tourist attractions could serve as a good opportunity for encouraging tourists from ECO Member States".
H.E. Ambassador Hassan Abbas also pointed to the vast scope of ECI activities organized during the tenure of Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri and said: "The Lebanese Embassy is ready to cooperate with ECI in all the areas mentioned".
