In order to realize the objectives of the MoU signed between the ECO Cultural Institute and the Islamic School of Art, the first international course on Iranian-Islamic geometric patterns was held in Qom and Isfahan cities.
According to ECI Public Relations, during this six-day course, professors and students of art and architecture from Turkey, Singapore and Germany participated. Moreover, the participants visited the historic and holy sites of Iran, studied the geometric designs used in these places and were familiarized with the philosophy behind the creation of these designs. They also learned how to draw patterns in the respective workshops organized. A training workshop on making mosaic tiles was another part of this course.
