H.E. Ms. Véronique Petit, ambassador of Belgium to Iran, met with Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, the ECI President, at the headquarters of this international organization.
According to ECI Public Relations, at the meeting, Dr. Mazaheri enumerated ECI's priorities and highlighted: "We support the development of academic, tourism, arts and cultural cooperation events with the Belgian embassy."
Emphasizing on the necessity of the establishment of interactions among the artists and cultural, literary figures of Belgium and ECO Region, the ECI President and the Belgian Ambassador also expressed hope that with the cooperation of the Belgian embassy, proper opportunity would be provided for the Belgian artists and cultural figures in international arts, cultural and literary festivals, conferences and seminar throughout the ECO region.
Ambassador Véronique Petit also welcomed the views mentioned and points raised by the ECI President and stated: "Fine areas of joint cooperation are available which we hope to be materialized at the earliest." She further appreciated Dr. Mazaheri's comments on the subject of cultural discourse of various nations with ECO countries and expressed the readiness of the Belgian embassy to develop cultural interactions with the ECO Cultural Institute.
At the end of the meeting, Ms. Véronique Petit visited various parts of ECI and became acquainted with ECI's capacities and the events organized.
