On February 6, 2019, a trilateral MoU was signed between the ECO Cultural Institute, the Secretariat for the Advancement of Science and Technology in the Islamic World at the University of Tehran and the Industrial Management Institute.
Present at the signing ceremony were Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri, ECI President; Dr. Ali Akbar Moosavi-Movahedi, Secretary-General of the Secretariat for the Advancement of Science and Technology in the Islamic World and Dr. Abolfazl Kayani, Managing Director of Industrial Management Institute.
According to ECI news, the MoU entails the utilization of the capacities of the ECO Cultural Institute, Secretariat for the Advancement of Science and Technology in the Islamic World and the Industrial Management Institute to develop and consolidate cultural, educational and research cooperation among ECO countries.
At the meeting, the heads of the three institutions emphasized upon the actualization of the provisions of the MoU and the need to utilize this opportunity in organizing the future programs.
The MoU focuses on such issues as conducting joint scientific research, publishing scientific journals, holding conferences, workshops and expert panels on international level with the infrastructure of culture, science, industry and innovation.
