The United Nations Resident Coordinator in Iran became paid a visit to the ECO Cultural Institute.
Ms. Ugochi Daniels, who was accompanied by the caretaker of UNESCO cluster office in Tehran, met with Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri on December 30, 2019, and discussed joint cooperation.
At the meeting, the ECI President pointed out to various MoUs of the ECO Cultural Institute, with renowned academic and research institutions and assessed the ground for ECI-UN and UNESCO collaboration sutiable.
Mrs. Daniels also pointed to the joint objectives of the two international organizations in promoting peace and friendship, and underscored the need for the expansion and continuation of joint collaborations.
The UN Resident Coordinator further expressed her appreciation to the ECI President for the proper interactions of the two institutions in organizing exhibitions in the field of tourism, women, children, peace and dialogue, cultural diversity and social cohesion.
Concluding the meeting, the head of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tehran concluded with a visit to ECI's diplomatic facilities of the ECO Cultural Institute.
