The first MoU between ECI and the Arts & Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality was signed by Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, ECI President, and Mr. Saeed Ohadi, President of Arts & Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality, on November 24, 2018 at Bahman Cultural Center.
At the signing ceremony, Dr. Mazaheri, while referring to the some of the social, cultural commonalities of the ECO region highlighted that the MoU could serve as a giant leap forward for the promotion of public diplomacy in the region. He further expressed hope that within the MoU framework, special attention be paid to 'Norouz'.
The President of Arts & Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality, Mr. Ohadi, also expressed his gratitude to the ECI president for his special role and efforts for the conclusion of the MoU and said: "ECO Region provides ample opportunities for conducting joint arts and cultural activities relying on unique historical and cultural spaces which should be utilized to the utmost across Tehran city".
It is worth mentioning that signing ceremony was attended by a group of arts and cultural figures as well as foreign diplomats residing in Tehran.
