The President of the ECO Cultural Institute met with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Iran.
According to ECI news, Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri, the ECI President, hosted Naseer Ahmad Noor, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tehran at ECI headquarters.
While describing the joint cooperation of ECI with Afghanistan embassy in the fields of culture, art and literature in recent years as 'remarkable', the ECI president said: holding several editions of winter poetry night titled 'Atash dar Chelleh', publications of works by afghan authors, holding calligraphy exhibition in Afghanistan are but few of the joint programs organized so far with the cooperation of Afghanistan embassy".
Naseer Ahmad Noor further expressed his appreciation over the cooperation between ECI and Afghanistan embassy and stated: "Any achievement in the field of culture paves the way for economic prosperity of the ECO countries".
"Mounting an exhibition of Afghan decorative stones, Migrant Afghan women's handicrafts exhibition and holding sports competitions are among the activities we are ready to help organize", he further continued.
