The first international New Year celebration titled 'Borderless Nowruz' will be held in ECI at the moment of the New Year on Wednesday March 20, 2019.
According to ECI news, while announcing the news, Mohammad Mahmoodi, ECI's speaker, said: "In order to develop and strengthen the existing relations between the countries in the ECO region based on historical and traditional commonalities, ECI will, for the first time, host national and foreign guests at the time of the New Year".
Pointing out the peace making characteristic of Nowruz across ECO region, he continued: "ECI's main approach during the tenure of Dr. Mazaheri, has been the use of public diplomacy for spreading brotherhood and friendship among the nations of the region".
Moreover, Mahmoodi invited the scholars, artists as well as cultural officials of the country to participate in the event and said: "the event 'Borderless Nowruz' is an opportunity for constructive exchange with the countries of the ECO region which will hopefully be more utilized by the top officials working in the field of culture and media".
Concluding his remarks, ECI's speaker expressed hope that 'Borderless Nowruz' will be properly reflected in national and foreign media.
