Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, ECI president, paid visit to the 37th Fajr Film Festival and highlighted ECI's determination regarding the development of joint cinema activities across ECO region.
According to ECI public relations, on the sidelines of this international festival, Dr. Mazaheri said: "ECI is responsible to develop public diplomacy and cinema, is one of the mediums for the fulfillment of this significant cultural mandate".
Continuing his remarks, Dr. Mazaheri said: "Participation of cinema in different festival is a huge leap forward for the realization of cultural diplomacy." On joint cinema productions in ECO region, ECI president said: "The inauguration of the first office for joint cinema productions of ECO member states in Mashhad (AFA) was the primary step in this regard". He also pointed out that two movies are being produced with the cooperation of ECO Cultural Institute.
Concluding his remarks, Dr. Mazaheri expressed hope that the cinema authorities of the country as well as Fajr Int'l Festival utilize the existing opportunity and resolution in this international organization for the realization of joint cinema productions.

The 37th Fajr Int'l Festival is being held on April 18 to 26, 2019 in Tehran with Reza Mirkarimi as its secretary.
