Visit of ECI President's Advisor to Flood-Stricken Areas
In coordination with UNOCHA in Tehran, the cultural advisor of Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, ECI President, as well as a group of diplomats residing in Iran, paid visit to Iran's flood-stricken areas on Thursday May 9, 2019.

According to ECI public relations, in this one-day trip, Dr. Tayyebeh Mohammad visited some flood-stricken villages in Bam-Dej of Ahvaz and also Hamidieh and Shadgan camp areas, inquired about the residents' needs, assessed the types of assistance required and examined optimum ways of aiding these areas.

As per the same report, the dispatched delegation also met with the governor of Khuzestan province.

It is noteworthy that during the visit of the members of diplomatic missions to the flood-stricken areas of the south of the country, headed by Dr. Leyla Al-Saeiji Jodan, representative of the United Nations Population Fund, Dr. Tayyebeh Mohammad, cultural advisor and representative of the ECI president, was present along with Amir Hossein Barmaki of the UNOCHA in Tehran, Charge de affairs of the Australia,​​ New Zealand, ​​Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Norway, as well as the first Secretary and Senior Advisor of the Japanese Embassy, representative of the Polish Embassy, ​​Dr. Mohammad Reza Khosravi and Sara Razavi of the United Nations Development Program, Abolfazl Masumi and Bassam al-Bayati of the UNICEF Office and the representative of the United Nations Human Settlement Program.
