'ECO Diplomatic Library: The Representation of the Convergence in the ECO Member States'
The expert panel on 'Reading Methods' was held on Thursday May 2, 2019 featuring the presence of Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri, ECI president, at Saraye Ahle Ghalam, at the International Section of the 32nd Tehran Book Fair.

According to ECI public relations, during the panel featuring the speeches by Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri, the head of this international institution, and Dr. Iraj Shahbazi, and attended by a large number of national and foreign academic and religious figures, the book 'ECO Diplomatic Library: The Representation of the Convergence in the ECO Member States' was launched.

At the beginning, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri said that the cyberspace does not quench the thirst of the bibliophiles and in this soon passing days, studying the research findings in the cyberspace is not pleasant. He further emphasized on reading books as one of the main components of public and cultural diplomacy and also an element of peace and security, development and the progress of societies.

The ECi president further added: "Intellectuals of social sciences regard books as a comprehensive platform for development in the modern world, and it is not a mere slogan in the area of publications, but an important principle, which has been widely considered in literary works".

Dr. Mazaheri then continued his remarks elaborating upon the role of books and studying in one's personal and social life, and expressed hope that considering the fact that the year 2018 was proclaimed, at the proposal of the ECI president at the meeting of Heads of ECI National Libraries in Tajikistan, the year of book and reading in ECO region, we will witness a surge in public reading in the field of this ancient area. He also highlighted: "At the International ECO Cultural Institute, promotion of culture of reading is at the top of the agenda and we are planning our activities based on reading and research."

The next speaker of the program was Dr. Iraj Shahbazi, university professor and prominent Molana scholar, who delivered speech on the subject of reading and the correct methods of reading. Next was the book author, Zahra Aslani, in charge of ECO Diplomatic Library, who briefed the audience on the specifications of the book and programs of ECO Diplomatic Library.

The panel concluded with unveiling of the book and honoring the speakers of the event by the executive committee of the 32nd Tehran Book Fair.
